Divine Ikubor popularly known by his stage name as Rema was born in 2001 in Benin City, Edo State. Not much is known about his childhood, but we know he grew up in Benin city and was born into a Christian family.

Following the exit of Reekado Banks in December 2018, Rema joined the illustrious label which entered its seventh year since it was created in May 2012.
